1/4 Mile Swim
10 Mile Bike
5k Run
“A special race in a special place.”
You’ll have trouble finding another endurance event with the special “vibe” of the Wellfleet Sprint Triathlon. Held on the outskirts of a tiny fishing/tourism village (with a very funky, artistic, chill atmosphere each summer!) this event’s ambience remains true to the low-key character of Outer Cape Cod. And because this triathlon is the major fundraiser for Cape Cod’s only non-profit community radio station: WOMR, you known that you are supporting a terrific local cause.
With the swim in a calm “kettle pond,” the bike ride through the undulating roads within the Cape Cod National Seashore, and the run offering expansive views of the Atlantic Ocean, this is a race that must be experienced to be understood. Just don’t delay in your registration; as the event has sold out months in advance each of the past 10 years.
